INSTALLATION INSTRUCTIONS
REMOTE FILTER MOUNT MOUNT
PART # 25709 & 25729
Please read these instructions completely before beginning installation
FILTER MOUNT INSTALLATION
VEHICLE TESTING
1. Choose a convenient location for the Side Ports Filter Mount.
Make sure there is enough space for future servicing of the
oil filter. Suggested Locations: Firewall, Radiator Support,
Fender well.
2. Take the Filter Nipple supplied, making sure the shorter end
of threads is installed onto the Side Ports Filter Mount.
(See Diagram #1)
3. Using the filter mount as a template, mark and drill three
3/16” holes.
3. Using #14 Sheet Metal Screws (Not Included), install the
Side Ports Filter Mount onto the vehicle.
4. Using Teflon Tape or a suitable sealant install one Hose
Barb Fitting (Not Included) to a “IN” port and one to a “OUT”
port. (Ports are marked by the arrows.) Next install the 1/2”
NPT Plugs into the two remaining ports.
Do not over torque Fittings.
5. Carefully route hose over to the Side Ports Filter Mount. Be
sure to connect In/Out Hose to the correct Port. Use Filter
mount arrows for flow direction.
Keep hoses away from sharp edges, moving parts
and exhaust. Do not bend hose sharper than a 5” radius.
6. Apply a light coat of oil onto the o-ring of your new Oil Filter
(Not Included) and install on the filter mount.

Start the engine and quickly check all connections for leaks.
2.
Turn-off the engine and check the oil.
3.
Add oil as needed.

IMPORTANT
This Filter Mount is machined with
1/2” NPT Ports and requires Teflon
Tape or a suitable sealant. Be sure
not to over tighten Fittings.
