Figure 1: Portable water treatment vessels

Description and Use

GE offers a full range of portable, off-site regener-
ated, water treatment vessels for use in industrial,
oil refinery, power plant, and ultra-high purity appli-
cations. Flow rates for these individual pressure
vessels range from 20 up to 225 gpm (0.1 up to 0.8
m

3

/h).

Pressure vessels can be supplied as granular acti-
vated carbon (GAC) filters, as salt regenerated sof-
teners, as weak or strong acid cation DI, weak or
strong base anion DI, or as final mixed bed polish-
ers. DI quality as high as 18.3 meg-ohm, with less
than 3 ppb silica, less than 10 ppb TOC, and less
than 20 parts per trillion sodium can be supplied.
Depending on specific customer requirements,
these pressure vessels can be supplied individually
or in series with automatically actuated paral-
lel/stand-by trains included.

General Properties

MegaFlo*

Vessels are ASME Code constructed of 3/16" (5 mm)
rubber lined carbon steel with 316SS internals.
Interconnections up to 4 in. (10 cm) diameter allow
for continuous flow rates up to 225 gpm (0.8 m

3

/h).

Maximum operating pressure rating is 100 psi.
Maximum resin/media volume contained is 45 ft

3

(1.3 m

) per vessel.

Versamate

Vessels are constructed of all fiberglass reinforced
plastic (FRP) material with a maximum recom-
mended operating pressure of 100 psi. Three
(3 ea.) different vessels are available containing
15, 25 and 35 ft

3

(0.4, 0.7 and 1.0 m

3

) of resin

or media to cost effectively meet customer

needs, Operating flow rates range from 20 to 75
gpm (0.1 to 0.3 m
