Maintenance
Taking care of your telephone
Your cordless telephone contans sophstcated electronc parts, so t must be treated wth care.
Avoid rough treatment
Place the handset down gently. Save the orgnal packng materals to protect your telephone f you
ever need to shp t.
Avoid water
Your telephone can be damaged f t gets wet. Do not use the handset outdoors n the ran, or handle t
wth wet hands. Do not nstall the telephone base near a snk, bathtub or shower.
Electrical storms
Electrcal storms can sometmes cause power surges harmful to electronc equpment. For your own
safety, take cauton when usng electrcal applances durng storms.
Cleaning your telephone
Your telephone has a durable plastc casng that should retan ts luster for many years. Clean t only
wth a soft cloth slghtly dampened wth water or mld soap. Do not use excess water or cleanng
solvents of any knd.
Remember that electrcal applances can cause serous njury f used when you are wet or standng
n water. If the telephone base should fall nto water, DO NOT RETRIEVE IT UNTIL YOU UNPLUG
THE POWER CORD AND TELEPHONE LINE CORD FROM THE WALL. Then remove the
telephone by the unplugged cords.
