Add and register a handset
Appendix
When To register HS and See manual appears alternately on the handset, the
handset s deregstered from the telephone base. Follow the steps below to regster
the handset to the telephone base.
To register a handset:
Remove the handset from the telephone base, and make sure no handset s
n use.
Press and hold
/FIND HANDSET on the telephone base for about sx seconds.
Then press # (pound key) on the handset. It dsplays Registering... and t takes
about 60 seconds to complete the regstraton. The handset dsplays Registered
for a few seconds and you hear a confirmation tone when the registration
process completes.

There are no caller ID log entres.
Directory empty
There are no drectory entres.
Directory full
The drectory s full.
Ended X:XX:XX
You have just ended a call.
Incoming call
There s an ncomng call.
Line in use
A system handset s n use, or another telephone on the same
lne s n use.
Low battery
The battery needs to be recharged.
Microphone on
MUTE s turned off and the person on the other end can hear you.
Muted
You have turned off the handset mcrophone. The other party
cannot hear you but you can hear the other party.
New voicemail
There are new vocemal message(s) from the telephone servce
provder.
No battery
No battery s nstalled. Follow the drectons for battery nstallaton
on page 4 to nstall the battery before chargng.
No line
There s no telephone lne connected.
Not available
One handset s already revewng the caller ID log and the other
handset tres to revew t.
Number repeated
The telephone number you enter s already stored n the
drectory.
Out of range or no
pwr at base
The handset cannot communcate wth the telephone base.
Check the telephone base power connecton or move the handset
closer to the telephone base.
