Appendix

Troubleshooting

If you have difficulty with your telephone, please try the suggestions below. For

customer servce, vst our webste at

www.vtechphones.com or call

1 (800) 595-9511. In Canada, go to www.vtechcanada.com or call

1 (800) 267-7377.

My telephone does not work at all.

Make sure the battery s nstalled and charged correctly (pages 4 and 5). For

optmum daly performance, return the handset to the telephone base or charger

after use.
Make sure the power adapter s securely plugged nto an outlet not controlled by

a wall swtch.
Make sure the telephone lne cord s plugged frmly nto the telephone base and

the wall jack.
Unplug the electrcal power to the telephone base. Wat for approxmately

15 seconds, then plug t back n. Allow up to one mnute for the cordless handset

and telephone base to synchronze.
Charge the battery n the handset for up to 16 hours.
If the battery s completely depleted, charge the handset battery for at least

30 mnutes before use (page 5).
Remove and nstall the battery agan. If that stll does not work, t may be

necessary to purchase a new battery.
Dsconnect the telephone base from the telephone wall jack and plug n

a workng telephone. If the other telephone does not work, the problem s

probably n the wrng or telephone servce. Contact your telephone

servce provder.

There is no dial tone.

Try all the suggestons above.
Move the cordless handset closer to the telephone base. You may have moved

out of range.
If the prevous suggestons do not work, dsconnect the telephone base from the

telephone jack and connect to a dfferent phone. If there s no dal tone on that

phone ether, the problem s n your wrng or telephone servce. Contact your

telephone servce provder.
Your lne cord may be defectve. Try nstallng a new lne cord.
If you have changed your telephone servce to dgtal servce from a cable

company or a VoIP servce provder, the telephone lne may need to be rewred

to allow all exstng telephone jacks to work. Contact your servce provder for

more nformaton.
