Home area code
If you dal local calls usng only seven dgts (area code not requred), you can
program your home area code so that when you receve a call wthn your local
area, the telephone number s automatcally stored n the caller ID log wthout the
area code.
To change the setting:
Press MENU when the handset s not n use.
Press or untl the screen dsplays Settings, then
press SELECT.
Press or untl the screen dsplays Home area code, then
press SELECT. The screen dsplays the currently stored home
area code.
Use the dalng keys (
0-9) to enter the desred home area code.
Press DELETE to delete a dgt.
Press and hold DELETE to delete all dgts.
Press SELECT to confirm. You hear a confirmation tone.
If, n the future, your telephone servce provder requres you to dal the area code
when makng a local call, or, f you move to a locaton that requres t, delete the
home area code you have already programmed followng the steps above. After you
have deleted the home area code, ___ appears.

The dal mode s preset to touch-tone dalng. If you have pulse (rotary) servce, you
need to change the dal mode to pulse dalng before usng the telephone.

Press MENU when the handset s not n use.
Press or untl the screen dsplays Settings, then
press SELECT.
Press or untl the screen dsplays Dial mode, then
press SELECT.
Press or to choose Touch-tone or Pulse, then
press SELECT to confirm your selection. You hear a
confirmation tone.
