5.3.8.
IPDirector Metadata Tab
IP2Archive Deep Archive Sync will check the clip archive metadata in the IPDirector
database and/or the DIVA database by checking a number of custom user fields.
These user fields are linked to a particular IPDirector metadata profile. If you click the
Settings menu at start-up, IP2Archive Deep Archive Sync makes connection with the
IPDirector API and retrieves the available metadata profiles and their user fields from the
IPDirector database. In this tab you have to select the correct metadata profile. Once you
have selected the correct metadata profile, the related user fields will become available. In
the Archive Metadata Userfield group box you have to select the correct user fields. Once
you have selected a user field, the type of user field (text, combobox, date) will be
displayed next to it.
Note
If the settings in the IPDirector API tab have not been configured yet and the
IPDirector API has not been activated yet, IP2Archive Deep Archive Sync will
not be able to communicate with the IPDirector API and will not be able to
retrieve the available metadata profiles and their user fields.
The Synchronization group box contains a setting that applies to the dialog box that
appears when a user clicks the Compare With IPDirectorbutton
or Compare With
DIVA button
.
The dialog box displays the ID and filename of the clips the archive metadata of which is
being compared. It also displays the remaining time and the progress of the process. With
the setting you can specify the refresh rate of this dialog box. The refresh rate is
expressed in number of video files. By default, the refresh rate is set to 5.
