First Pass
8 Press the FIRST PASS soft key.
„ Do not move the carriage manually.
8 Watch the machine dial, and engage the lever for the first pass on
the appropriate number (even, or odd).
„ If a false start occurs at any time, disengage the lever, backing off
the cross feed at the same time. Press the PREVIOUS PASS soft
key to restart the procedure.
Remaining Passes
8 Keep hand on lever while the carriage is moving. The DRO will count
down.
8 Disengage lever, and back off the cross feed at the same time when
the DRO reads 0.0, and the screen message states “Disengage
Lever”.
8 With lever disengaged, press the NEXT PASS soft key.
8 Move the axes back to the start position. Move Z to 0.0, then move
X to 0.0,. The message “Press Start Pass” will be on the screen.
8 When ready, press the START PASS soft key. Watch the “Thread
Bar Indicator”1 and engage the lever when it reaches the center
mark.
8 Repeat this procedure until all normal passes are completed.
„ If a finish pass step was created, the FINISH PASS soft key will
appear.
8 Press the FINISH PASS soft key, and execute the same as the
previous passes.
