Auto Image Rotation
The DocuColor 12 offers an automatic rotation
feature for 8.5 x 11 inch original documents input
from both the Duplex Automatic Document Feeder
and the Document Glass.
KEY POINT: The following information applies
ONLY when the Auto Tray is selected: If the
copier/printer detects that the image area of a
document that is being scanned short edge first
will not fit on the paper, it will automatically rotate
the image 90
°
to ensure that the entire image
appears on the output (long edge first).
Therefore, if you are scanning an 8.5 x 11 inch
original document, the image will be rotated 90
°
to
provide the entire image on the output.
If you request 2 Sided output, Side 1 will be
rotated 90
°
and Side 2 will be rotated 270
°
to
ensure head-to-head output.
KEY POINT: Auto Rotation is not performed for
documents that are scanned long edge first.
