Book Copying

The Book Copying feature (Figure 7) enables you
to copy bound documents such as books,
magazines or journals, notebooks, glued forms, or
stapled sets.

When this feature is selected, each page is copied
onto a separate sheet of paper.

The Book Copying feature offers several options,
illustrated in Figure 8:

Book Copying Off

Normal Book Copying

Right to Left Format

Calendar Format

The pages of the book may be any size up to 8.5 x
11 inches (A4) or 11 x 17 inches maximum for
both pages.

The Binding Erase option allows you to remove
the shadow caused by the center binding of bound
documents when they are copied. The value
displayed or entered for this option corresponds to
the value displayed in the Variable Erase/Center
Area Erase option.

KEY POINT: Place the bound document face
down in the upper left corner of the Document
Glass, as illustrated in Figure 9.
