Setting Fine Resolution Priority
The unit is set to automatically begin reception if you pick up from an extension
telephone and the unit detects a fax tone. However, if you are using a modem on the
same line, you must deactivate this function : otherwise the unit will mistakenly attempt
to receive the transmission from your computer. To turn of the Fax Signal Receive
function, follow the procedure below.
Note: If you turn off the Fax Signal Receive function, be sure to activate the Remote
Reception function. See “Using the Remote Reception Function” on the next
page for details on how to do this.
Factory setting: 1 (ON)

Fax Setup
For most faxing jobs, you will most likely want to specify the resolution. However,
you can also set a default resolution when no setting is made using the RESOLU-
TION key. When Fine Resolution Priority is turned on, all faxes will be sent in Fine
Mode unless otherwise specified. To turn on this function, follow the procedure
below:
