Selecting a Card for Storing Pictures
The pictures that you take are stored on the selected memory card. The SM
(SmartMedia) or CF (CompactFlash) mark tells you which card is currently selected for
storing images. The
mark selects the SmartMedia card and the mark selects the
CompactFlash card. You can easily select either card for storing images.

Press and hold down the SM/CF
memory card button, and then
slowly turn the main dial or sub
dial to switch the display
alternately between the SM or CF
mark in the control panel.
When you switch the camera on
The card where the last picture was stored is
automatically selected. If only one card is
installed in the camera (either the SmartMedia
or CompactFlash card), then the installed card
is selected automatically.
--- blinking in the control panel?
The selected card is not present. Insert the
card.
