Clearing Document Jams
If CLEAR ORIGINAL appears in the display:
Problem: There is a document jammed in the feeder. Remove the jammed
document and repeat the transmission procedure.
Cause: The document may be longer than the maximum limit (see the docu-
ment specifications on page 72).

Grasp the center of the operation
panel and pull forward to open it.
2 If the jammed paper is visible
from the document tray, pull it out
from the front of the machine.
If the jammed paper has been fed
right into the machine, hold the
panel open and remove it from in-
side.
3 Close the panel firmly.
4 Pull the copy output tray forward.
Set the document again after
"READY" appears in the display.
