Additional Convenient Functionality
If you’ve connected the C-200 to a MIDI sequencer, you should set the C-200 to the Local Off state.
Most sequencers enable their Thru function, so that the notes that you play on the keyboard or that are played back by the
recorder will reach the sound generator section by both routes (1) and (2) if the C-200 is in the Local On state, causing notes to be
sounded in duplicate, or to be cut off unnaturally.
To prevent this, choose the “Local Off” setting so that route (1) is disconnected.
◆
While holding down the [Function] piston, press the
Harpsichord [4’] piston to switch off the Local function.
Repeat this operation to select Local On again.
* If you’ve selected Local Off and no sequencer is connected, you
won’t hear any sound when you play the C-200’s keyboard.
The Local On setting is selected when you turn on the
power.
