More Functions
You can calibrate the CD-2’s Tuner to another instrument or
tuning standard by adjusting its “reference pitch.”
The reference pitch is the frequency of the A4 note. For
example, this is the pitch of the middle A note on a piano.

Press
until “TUNER” appears in the
display.

Turn
to change the reference
pitch.
• You can adjust this in a range of 435–445 Hz.

When you’re finished adjusting the
reference pitch, press
.
You’re returned to the previous readout.
As a tuning aid, you can have the CD-2 sound a guide tone
from the internal speakers.

until “Tone” appears in the
display.
You will hear the guide tone shown in the screen.

Turn
to select the guide tone you
want to hear.
• You can choose one of 25 chromatic notes in the
range A3–A5.

Tune your instrument to the guide tone.

To stop the guide tone, press

You’re returned to the previous readout.
