Camera Settings
How to recall the [Set-up] menu
Formatting
If the CF card is installed, all data stored on the CF card will be
deleted and the CF card will be formatted. If the CF card is not
installed, all data stored in the camera’s built-in memory will be
deleted and the built-in memory will be formatted.
• Do not open the CF card cover while the card is being for-
matted. The card may be damaged and become unusable.
• Formatting will delete protected data too.

Select [Format] on the [Set-up] menu.

Press the four-way controller ( ).
The Format screen will be dis-
played.

Select [Format] with the four-way
controller (
).

Press the Playback/OK button.
Formatting will start. When formatting is completed, the cam-
era is ready to capture or play back images.
