Enabling/Disabling the Digital Zoom Function

Press the Menu button.
The [Rec.Mode] menu will be displayed.

Press the four-way controller ( )
to select [Digital Zoom].

Use the four-way controller ( )
to select [On] or [Off].

Press the Playback/OK button.
The camera is ready to take a pic-
ture.
When you turn off the LCD monitor, the digital zoom is
turned off even if it has been enabled.

Using the Zoom
You can use the zoom to take pictures in Tele or Wide mode.

Press the Zoom button in Capture
mode.
makes the subject larger
makes the subject smaller
When the digital zoom function is
disabled, you can take pictures at
up to 3x magnification using the
optical zoom.
When the digital zoom is enabled,
you can enlarge the subject to a
maximum magnification equivalent
to 6x.
