Protecting Images from Deletion (Protect)
You can protect images from being accidentally erased.
z
Enter the Playback mode and choose the image you want
to protect with the four-way controller (
).
x
Press the button.
The Protect screen will be displayed.
c
Select [Protect] with the four-way
controller (
).

Press the Playback/OK button.
• Select [Unprotect] in step
c
above to release the Protect setting.
• If the image is protected, the symbol is displayed when the
image is played back.
Protecting All Images
You can protect all the images.
z
Enter the Playback mode.
x
Press the button twice.
The Protect (All) screen will be displayed.
c
Select [Protect] with the four-way controller ( ).

Press the Playback/OK button.
• Even protected images will be erased by formatting the CF
card or the built-in memory.
• If the CF card is installed, only the images recorded on the
CF card will be protected.

Erasing All Images
You can erase all the images at once.
• Once erased, images cannot be restored.
• Protected images cannot be erased.
• If the CF card is installed, only the images recorded on the
CF card will be deleted.

Enter the Playback mode and press
the button
twice.
The Delete (All) screen will be dis-
played.

Select [All Images] with the four-
way controller (
).

Press the Playback/OK button.
Step x can be omitted if you turn on the [Quick Delete] on the
[Set-up] menu.
