COMMUNICATION WITH A PC
3.1 Connection to PC
The UPS is connected to the PC via the RS232 interface. The
respective connector is the female 9-pin sub-D connector on the
CPU/ NCP pcb on the inside of the UPS front door. At the PC a
serial port is used which can either be a male 9-pin sub-D connec-
tor or a male 25-pin sub-D connector.
Cable Specification
For connecting the PC and UPS use twisted pair, 24 AWG shielded
cable. Connect the shield to ground at the PC and at the UPS.
