3 Press {A} or {B} repeatedly to display the
desired setting.
–
“ TONE” (default): For tone dial service.
– “ PULSE”: For rotary pulse dial service.
4 Press {SET}.
L The next feature will be displayed.
5 Press {MENU}.
3.8 Date and time
The date and time can be set using either the
cordless handset or the base unit.
L The other party’s fax machine will print the
date and time on each page you send
according to your unit’s date and time setting.
L The accuracy of the clock is approximately
±60 seconds a month.
L The date and time may be lost after a power
failure. In this case, set the date and time
again.
3.8.1 With the cordless handset
Important:
L Confirm that the power cord of the base
unit is connected.
L Ensure that w is not flashing.
1 Press {j/OK}.
2 Select “ Handset Setup”, then press {>}.
3 Select “ Time Settings”, then press {>}.
4 Select “ Set Date & Time”, then press
{>} .
L The cursor ( | ) will appear on the display.
5 Enter the current date/month/year by
selecting 2 digits for each.
Example: 10 August, 2005
Press {1}{0} {0}{8} {0}{5}.
6 Enter the current hour/minute by selecting 2
digits for each. Press {*} repeatedly to
select “
AM”, “PM”, or 24-hour time entry.
L When neither “ AM” nor “PM” are
displayed, 24-hour time entry is selected.
Example: 15:20 (24-hour time entry)
Press {1}{5} {2}{0}.
7 Press {j/OK}.
8 Press {ih}.
To correct a mistake
Press {<} or {>} to move the cursor to the
incorrect number, and make the correction.
3.8.2 With the base unit
Important:
L If e is displayed on the base unit, either
the date and time has not been set or the
setting has been lost (due to a power
failure, etc.). Set the date and time by
pressing {SET}, then follow from step 4
below.
