7.7 Printing IPDS from PSF/400 with OS/400
V3R7, V4R1, V4R2, V4R3, or V4R4
Install the latest cumulative PTF fix pack or tape for the system.

PTF 43310, which is available from IBM provides a fix for out of paper
responses from the printer.
1.
Set up and start the TCP/IP network:

Create a Token-Ring or an Ethernet line description for the printer
using
CRTLINTRN
or
CRTLINETH
.

Add a TCP/IP interface using
ADDTCPIFC
.

Add a router definition, if required, using
ADDTCPRTE
.

Start TCP/IP using
STRTCP
.

Define a PSF configuration object for your printers using
CRTPSFCFG
. What you
define here is referenced in the printer device description (
CRTDEVPRT
). More
than one printer can use this object. See the example on page 106.
