6.2 LX 7007 PRO IGC – Remote control units
6.2.1 Remote control keyboard type
6.2.1.1 General
The unit consists of aluminum housing (80x60x20 mm), a keyboard and a micro controller. The keys are made of
rubber and have a tactile feel. All LX 7007 PRO IGC units are ready to support the LX Remote without any
modification. There are no additional settings needed on the LX 7007 PRO IGC or on the LX Remote. When the
remote unit is connected, it is detected automatically when the LX 7007 PRO IGC is switched on.
All keys have only one function; there are no combinations or double functions. All keys correspond 100% to the
LX 7007 PRO IGC usage philosophy.

6.2.1.2 Getting started
The following parts are included:
- LX Remote unit
- Flexible cable with telephone connectors on both ends (can also be purchased in your telephone shop)
- RS485 BUS cable
The RS485-BUS cable consists of 0.5 m cable, 9P SUB D male connector, printed circuit board and a small
aluminum plate for fixing. The printed circuit board is normally fixed on the instrument panel. To do that, it is
necessary to drill three holes as shown in the picture below.
