Recording between external equipment
using the AV selector
You can record images and sounds from the equipment connected to the VIDEO 2 or
VIDEO 3 input jack to a DVD recorder or VCR connected to the VIDEO 1 output jack.
The equipment should be connected to the AV selector with a video cable/S-video
cable and audio cable.
Procedure:

If an S-video cable or video cable is connected to the video input, signals are sent
to the S-video output and video output.

You cannot record images from the equipment connected with a component video
cable.

You cannot record sounds from the equipment connected with an optical digital
cable or coaxial digital cable.

Some discs are copy protected and recording is not possible.

You cannot record material with copy protection (digital broadcasts, etc.).

While recording, do not switch to another function.

You can also use the FUNCTION button on the main unit to set the input to VIDEO
2 or VIDEO 3.

When recording between equipment connected to the AV selector, you do not
need to turn on the main unit. Select VIDEO 2 or VIDEO 3 with the function but-
tons on the AV selector. In this case, the speakers do not produce sound.

To record the TV sound, press the TV button.

Plug in each cable fully to prevent noise interference.

Turn on the AV selector and main unit.

Press the VIDEO 1, 2, 3 button on the remote control to set the input to VIDEO 2
or VIDEO 3.

Start recording on the equipment connected to the VIDEO 1 output jack and then
start playback on the source equipment.
