! Speaker level setting
If sounds from the speakers are uneven, you can equalize them by adjusting the
speaker levels.
Notes:
" The speaker level setting is only available for the front speakers and subwoofer if
the input is set to tuner, or the surround is "STEREO" or "VIRTUAL".
" If subwoofer sound is distorted, lower the subwoofer level.
! Test tone
You can check each speaker sound by a test tone. Readjust the volume set in
"Speaker level setting".
Notes:
" The test tone is produced only from the front speakers and subwoofer if the input
source is set to tuner or the surround is "STEREO" or "VIRTUAL".
" If NO (OFF) is selected for a speaker in the speaker size setting, no test tone will
be heard from it.

Set the MODE 1/MODE 2 switch to MODE 2 and press the AMP SET
UP button.

Within 10 seconds, press the or button to
select "SP LEVEL", and press the ENTER but-
ton.

Within 10 seconds, press the or button to
select the desired speaker.
The indicator of the selected speaker flashes.

Within 10 seconds, press the or button to
adjust the level.
" You can adjust the level at 1 dB intervals.
" To adjust the levels of other speakers, repeat the op-
eration from step 3.

Press the RETURN button twice.
The setting is complete.
Speaker type Level range Default setting
FL Front speaker (Left) - 10 dB to + 10 dB 0 dB
CT Center speaker - 10 dB to + 10 dB 0 dB
FR Front speaker (Right) - 10 dB to + 10 dB 0 dB
SR Surround speaker (Right) - 10 dB to + 10 dB 0 dB
SL Surround speaker (Left) - 10 dB to + 10 dB 0 dB
SW Subwoofer - 10 dB to + 10 dB 0 dB

select "TONE", and press the ENTER button.
The test tone will be heard from each speaker, in order, at about 2-second inter-
vals.
To adjust speaker levels
While the test tone is heard:
Adjust the level with the or button.
Press the or to select a speaker.

Press the RETURN button twice.
The setting is complete.
