Selecting Alert Options for Messages
You can select a repeat status and ringer length for messages.
1.
Press
> Settings > Sounds > Alerts > Messages.
2.
Select Text Message, Picture Msg, or Voicemail.
3.
Select Repeat or Ringer Length.
4.
Highlight a setting and press
.
Silence All
The Silence All option allows you to mute all sounds.
To activate Silence All:

Press and hold the volume button down in standby mode.
(The screen will display “Silence All.”)
To deactivate Silence All:
ᮣ
Press the volume button up repeatedly to select a volume
level.
Display Settings
Changing the Backlight Time Length
Select how long the display screen and keyboard remain
backlit after any keypress is made.
To change the screen backlight setting:
1.
Press
> Settings > Display > Main Screen >
Backlight.
2.
Select Dim Only, Always On, or a preset length of time.
To change the keyboard backlight setting:
1.
Press
> Settings > Display > Keypad Light.
2.
Select Always Off or a preset length of time.
Note
Long backlight settings reduce the battery’s talk and
standby times.
