When you are ready to send the message, press . The fax
machine will automatically call your SMS center and send the message.
•
After the message is sent, it is placed in the outbox. If the message was not
sent successfully, the fax machine will make 3 attempts at 5-minute
intervals to resend the message (see page 71), and an exclamation point (!)
will appear next to the message when you view it in the outbox (see page
38). No exclamation point will appear if the message was sent successfully.

Sending an SMS message using an auto-dial number
If the number of the recipient has been stored as an auto-dial number, you
can use the auto-dial number to send an SMS message.

Note: If you have an unread received message, the message will appear
when you press . Read the message first (see page 36) and then
perform this procedure.

Press (or ) until the desired recipient appears in the display (if
no name was stored, the number will appear).
Important: The stored number must include the area code.
