Registering your phone

Before you can use your Gigaset S44 you

must register it to a base station. It can be

registered to a maximum of four base sta-

tions. The actual registration procedure

will depend on the type of base station.

Automatic registration Gigaset S44 to

Gigaset S440/S445

Important: The handset must not already

be registered to any base station.
The handset registers automatically to the

Gigaset S440/S445 base station.

¤

Place the handset in the base station

with its display facing forward.

Registration takes about 1 minute. During

this process,

Regstr.Procedure

appears in

the display and the name of the base sta-

tion, e.g.

Base 1

, flashes. When the hand-

set has registered, its screen displays its

internal number, e.g.

INT 2

for internal

number 2. The handset will be assigned

the lowest unassigned number (1–6).

If all internal numbers 1-6 have been

assigned, number 6 is overwritten, if the

handset with the internal number 6 is in

idle status.

Manual registration Gigaset S44

If the handset does not activate automati-

cally when the batteries are fitted, you

have to charge the batteries first.
You must activate manual registration of

the handset at both the handset and the

base station.

tion, the battery icon indicates the charge

status of the batteries (page 1).

To do this, leave the handset in the

charging cradle without interruption

for 10 hours. Your handset need not be

switched on to charge.

remove the handset from the cradle

and do not put it back again until the

batteries are fully discharged.

Note:

– Automatic registration is only possible

while no-one is making calls using the base

station.

– Each key press cancels automatic registra-

tion.

– If automatic registration does not work,

you will have to register the handset manu-

ally.
