Sending a Text Message
1. Press to access the main menu.
2. Select Messaging.
3. Select Send Message.
4. Select Text.
5. Select the entry method you prefer:
ᮣ Phone Book Entry to select a recipient from your internal
Contacts. (Qualifying Contacts entries must contain a phone
number or an email address.)
ᮣ Phone# to enter the phone number of the person to whom you
wish to send a message.
ᮣ Email to enter the recipient’s email address.
Tip: Press (right softkey) and select From Recent List or
Phone Book Groups to use phone numbers or email addresses from
recently used or phone book groups entries.
6. Press to confirm the recipient. (You may include up to 16
recipients per message.)
7. Press (left softkey) when you have finished selecting and
entering recipients.
8. Compose a message and press or (left softkey).
ᮣ To enter a message, use your keypad to type your message.
Press
(right softkey) to select a character input mode.
(See “Selecting a Character Input Mode” on page 25.)
9. Scroll down to select the message priority (Normal or Urgent),
set the callback number, and/or set the signature.
10. Review your message and press (left softkey). (You may
also select additional messaging options by pressing
[right softkey] to change the recipients or save to draft.)
Tip: You can also send a text message by using the Send Quick Text
menu. (Press the navigation key up in standby mode.)
