Preface
Purpose of the Operating Instructions
These Operating Instructions provide you with support during configuration,
commissioning, and troubleshooting of networks with Industrial Ethernet OSMs
(Optical Switch Module) and Industrial Ethernet ESMs (Electrical Switch Module).
The Package
The OSM/ESM includes the following components:
• OSM/ESM device
• 6-pin plug-in terminal block for connection of the power supply and the signaling
contact
• One or two 6-pin plug-in terminal blocks for OSMs/ESMs with digital inputs
• Kit for wall mounting or mounting in 19" cubicle
• Product information bulletin
• CD
Installing an OSM/ESM
