Connecting the AM (MW) and FM antennas
• Make sure the antenna conductors do not touch any other terminals, connecting cords, and power cords. This could cause
poor reception.
7 AM (MW) loop antenna
Setting up AM (MW) loop antenna
Attach the AM (MW) loop to its base by snapping the tabs on the loop
into the slot in the base.
If the antenna cord is covered with vinyl, remove the
vinyl by twisting it as shown.
Single vinyl-covered wire (not supplied)
If reception is poor:
Connect a single vinyl-covered
wire to the AM EXT terminal
while keeping the AM (MW) loop
antenna connected. AM (MW) loop

Press and hold the
terminal clamp.
Insert the antenna
cord.
Release your finger
from the clamp.
• Turn the loop until
you have the best
reception.
