Care and cleaning

If carefully cleaned and taken care of, your microwave

oven will remain fully functional and in a good

condition for a long time to come. This section

explains how to properly care for and clean your

appliance.
Danger of shortĆcircuiting.

Never use highĆpressure cleaners or steam jets.
Risk of burning.

Do not clean the appliance immediately after

switching it off. Allow the appliance to cool down.
Notes
Slight differences in the colours on the front of the

appliance are caused by the use of different materials,

such as glass, plastic and metal.
Shadows on the door panel which look like streaks

are light reflections from the oven light.
Unpleasant smells, e.g. after preparing fish, can be

removed quite easily. Add a few drops of lemon juice

to a cup of water. Place a spoon in the container to

prevent delayed boiling. Heat the water for 1 to

2 minutes at the maximum microwave power setting.

Surfaces are different and damage caused by using

the wrong cleaning agent can be avoided by

observing the information in the table below.

metal or glass scrapers to clean the glass in the

appliance door.

metal or glass scrapers to clean the door seal.

coarse scouring pads or cleaning sponges.

Rinse out new sponge cloths thoroughly before use.
