for no truncation of
leading or trailing
digits; otherwise enter
the number of leading
and trailing barcode
digits to truncate
(ignore).
The monitor can be set to
ignore a specific number
of leading and/or trailing
barcode digits.
The display returns to the
Patient Test, Patient ID
Barcode screen.
13. Press 1 – Next;
continue to the next
menu.
The display shows the In-
Range Comment Code
screen.
14. The administrator will
select one of the
following options:
Press 1 – Next, and
continue to step 17.
Press 2 – Change, to
change the In-Range
Comment Code.
The display shows the
In-Range Comment Code
options. The Comment
Code options can be set
to Disabled, Optional or
Required for test results
that fall in the action
range.
10. Select one of the
following:
1. Alphanumeric
2. Full ASCII
The display returns to
the Patient ID Barcode
screen.
C will appear after the
format if Check Digit is
selected.
F will appear if Full
ASCII is selected.
11. To access the Truncate
Digits screen, press 6
and continue forward
to step 12.
The display shows the
Patient ID Barcode
Truncate Digits screen.
