Accurate Calibration The barcode on each test strip packet label ensures
accurate calibration before each test begins.
Built-In Security Options Options in the Precision PCx Monitor enable the
requirement of Patient and Operator IDs, to include
minimum and maximum lengths. Other security
options include:
QC Interval – requires quality control tests
at regular intervals.
Operator Security – limits access to the list
of certified operators.
Strip Lot Security – test only with approved
test strip lots.
Test Security – reports control test as
Pass/Fail only. This is to prevent patient
testing from being performed while the
monitor is in control test mode.
Patient and Quality The Precision PCx Monitor can store up to 4,000
Control Data Management patient tests and 1,000 control tests. All stored data
can be automatically uploaded to the MediSense ®
QC Manager ™ Data Management System using the
docking station (optional) or serial cable.
Data Networking The QC Manager Data Management System provides
a simple and automated way to collect, report and
send data to the Laboratory Information System
(LIS) or Hospital Information System (HIS).
Battery Power The monitor uses 2 standard alkaline AA batteries,
or the rechargeable MediSense battery pack.
