Stamping photos with geographical locations and time

You can add geographical information (geotags) or time stamps to your photos’ metadata

and to the photo itself.

You choose whether to add the stamps when you open the viewfinder to take photos. The

Stamp options are located on the bottom right of the viewfinder.

Stamp options

By default, a photo’s metadata includes the filename, file location, dimensions, exposure,

ISO speed rating and more. You enable Motion QuickNav to record geotags and time

stamps from the Camera Options menu.

To enable geotags and time stamps

1. Open the

Motion QuickNav tool bar

then tap the camera icon

to open the

viewfinder.

2. Tap the Options icon

located at the top of the viewfinder then tap the Picture

Info.

3. Under Geotagging, select Enable GeoTagging. If the GPS Com port displays a message,

“GPS device not yet detected,” press Detect to associate Motion QuickNav with the GPS
module.

4. Under Stamp, select the font size of the time stamp when displayed on a photo and the

time Stamp Format, tap either UTC or Local Time. UTC format displays the official
universal time independent of time zones and daylight savings.
