Print Quality Problems
Problem Solutions
Printing is too light Turn the print density dial clockwise.
Check to see if your paper is wet.
Remove the print unit and rock it to
distribute the toner evenly.
Clean the corona wire.
Printing is too dark Turn the print density dial counter-
clockwise.
Page is black Clean the precharger wire.
Replace the print unit.
Page is blank Clean the corona wire.
Replace the print unit.
Vertical density is uneven Clean the corona wire.
Clean the precharger wire.
Vertical white lines appear Remove the print unit and rock it to
distribute the toner evenly, or replace
the print unit.
Clean the corona wire.
Vertical clear black lines appear Clean the precharger wire.
Vertical blurred black lines Clean the precharger wire.
appear Contact your dealer if the fuser unit
is damaged.
Ghost printing Print several pages if this problem
occurs after a paper jam.
Clean the corona wire.
Check to see if your paper is wet.
