Chapter 3: Installation
Connection
Introduction
The following steps are required to fully connect the Call Relay SP:
• Connect to Ethernet LAN
• Connect PC serial Com port (required for initial configuration only, not required for normal connection)
Connect to Ethernet LAN
You can use these instructions for general connection purposes only. The Ethernet hub/switch documentation
should provide specific instructions for connection to another device, such as Call Relay SP. One ethernet port
is enabled; the other three ports can be optionally purchased.
NOTE: For illustrations purposes, the unit is shown with AC power.

1. Plug one end of the grey RJ-45 ethernet cable into one of the ports labeled 10/100 Ethernet.
2. Plug the other end of the cable into one of the Ethernet hub/switch ports. If a custom cable or adapter is
required, see Chapter 2: Hardware Components for Ethernet RJ-45 10/100.
3. Repeat for each Ethernet port, up to four per your custom order.
