• HDMI—When you connect an HDMI device to your TV.
• DVI—When you connect a DVI device to your TV and
connect the sound with an analog sound cable.
4 Press EXIT to return to normal viewing.
Changing miscellaneous settings
Adjusting the back lighting
You can adjust the back lighting of the screen to improve picture clarity.
To adjust the back lighting:
1 Press SETUP/TV MENU. The initial on-screen menu opens.
2 Press or to select Setup, then press or ENTER. The Setup
menu opens.
3 Press

to
select
Backlight, then press or to adjust
the setting.
4 Press EXIT to return to normal viewing.
Setting the automatic shut off
The Auto Shut Off feature automatically turns the TV off after 15
minutes if the station being viewed stops broadcasting or the TV is not
operated in that time.
To set the auto shut off:
1 Press SETUP/TV MENU. The initial on-screen menu opens.
2 Press or to select Setup, then press or ENTER. The Setup
menu opens.
3 Press or to select Auto Shut Off, then press or to
select On (or Off if you want to turn it off).
4 Press EXIT to return to normal viewing.
Resetting your TV to factory default settings
To reset your TV to factory default settings:
1 Press SETUP/TV MENU. The initial on-screen menu opens.
2 Press or to select Setup, then press or ENTER. The Setup
menu opens.
3 Press or to select Reset, then press or ENTER. “Reset”
appears on the screen for about three seconds, then the TV
returns to normal viewing.
Note: MTS and HDMI Audio are not reset by this procedure.
