4 POS and CPOS interface configuration

When the CPOS interface card on the SR8000 routers and other devices are connected,
configure the clock mode as the master clock mode.
Do as follows on the routers:
Step 1 Run:
system-view
The system view appears.
Step 2 Run:
controller cpos cpos-number
The CPOS interface view appears.
Step 3 Run:
clock { master | slave }
The command configures the clock mode of the CPOS interface.
The CPOS interface supports two clock modes:
•
Master clock mode uses internal clock signal.
•
Slave clock mode uses line clock signal.
By default, clock mode of CPOS is slave mode.

4.3.3 Configuring frame format
Do as follows on the routers:
Step 1 Run:
system-view
The system view appears.
Step 2 Run:
controller cpos cpos-number
The CPOS interface view appears.
Step 3 Run:
frame-format { sdh | sonet }
The command configures the frame format of the CPOS interface.
The frame format determines the application mode of CPOS: in SONET mode or SDH mode.
By default, the frame format of CPOS is SDH.
