6 PPP and MP configuration

Configuration -WAN Access

[RouterA] aaa

[RouterA-aaa] local-user rtbchap password simple chap

# Configure Serial 1/0/1 on Router A.

Configure VTs for Router A and Router B.

[RouterA-Virtual-Template1] ppp mp binding-mode authentication

[RouterB-Virtual-Template0] ip address 8.1.1.2 255.255.255.0

Step 4

Bind the physical interfaces of Router A and Router B to the VTs through user names.

# Bind the physical interface of Router A to the VT through the user name.

[RouterA] interface serial 1/0/1
