FINALIZING A CD-R/CD-RW DISC
Finalization is the process that concludes recording, and allows a CD-R disc lo be played on a standard CD player or a CD-RW disc to be
phiyed on a CD-RW-compatible player.

Set a not-finallzed CD-R or CD-RW disc in the disc
tray.

During finalization
When finttlization is completed, the TOC indicator lights and
the unit enters the stop mode.

• Further recording is not possible onlo a finalized CD-R disc.
Make sure that all recordings have been completed before
finalization.
• Make sure a CD-R or CD-RW disc has no scratches, dust,
fingerprints or similar marks before loading. Wipe ;i CD-R or
C[)-RW disc if there is any dust on it.
• Once the finalizalion process has started, no other operation
is possible until finalization is completed.
‘ Never turn off ihe power or disconnect the power cord during
finalization.
