B. Disassembly of Vent Sections
To disassemble any two pieces of pipe, rotate either section 
(see Figure 8.11), so that the seams on both pipe sections 
are aligned (see Figure 8.12). They can then be carefully 
pulled apart.
Securing the Vent Sections
Vertical Sections
Vertical sections of pipe must be supported every 8 feet 
above the fi replace base. For the Cyclone, there must be 
an additional vent support (wall bracket) placed around the 
fi rst section of pipe (see Figure 8.9). The vent support or 
plumber’s strap (spaced 120º apart) may be used.
Horizontal Sections
Horizontal sections of vent must be supported every 5 feet 
with a vent support or plumber’s strap.

Improper support may allow vent to sag or separate.
