Burner grates / porce-

lain enamel on cast

iron

¡

Wait until the appliance has

cooled.

¡

Carefully lift off the burner

grates and place them on a pro-

tected surface.

¡

Scrub with a non-metallic brush

and soapy water. Carefully

clean around the rubber feet. If

the rubber feet come off, the

grates may scratch the rangetop

surface.

¡

Dry the burners grates com-

pletely. If there are water

droplets or damp patches on the

cooktop when you start cooking,

the enamel may be damaged.

¡

Place the burner grates in their

proper position.

¡

The grates are heavy; use care when you lift them up.

¡

Acidic and sugar-laden spills deteriorate the enamel. Re-

move soil immediately after the appliance has cooled

enough to touch.

¡

Blisters, crazing or chips are common due to the ex-

treme temperatures on the grate fingers and rapid tem-

perature changes.

¡

If you use abrasive cleaners too vigorously or too often

they may eventually mar the enamel.

¡

DO NOT clean in a self-cleaning oven.
