Overall Settings for the TM-2

Here’s how to make overall settings that apply to the entire TM-2, such as display and MIDI channel.

1.

Hold down the [SHIFT] button and press the [INST] button.

2.

Use the [<] [>] buttons to select “SYSTEM” and press the [+]
button.

3.

Use the [<] [>] buttons to select a parameter that you want
to edit.

4.

Use the [-] [+] buttons to change a value.

* INFO contains no editable values.

5.

Press the [INST] button several times to return to the kit
screen.

Parameter

Explanation

LCD

Contrast

Adjusts the contrast of the display.

Brightness

Adjusts the brightness of the display.

BATTERY

Type

Set this according to the type of batteries that you’re using.

ALKALINE

: Alkaline battery

Ni-MH

:

Rechargeable Ni-MH battery

AUDIO

Limiter

If you want to apply a master limiter to the audio output, specify the threshold.

With the “OFF” setting, the limiter is not applied. The default value is “OFF.”

OutGain

Adjusts the audio output volume. Raising this value will raise the volume, but the sound may be

distorted. The default value is “0dB.”

TRIG SW

TrgPreview

If this is “ON,” instruments will sound when you press the TRIG IN [1] [2] buttons. The default value

is “ON.”

Trig Lock

If this is “ON,” striking a pad does not change the object being edited. The default value is “OFF.”

You can also turn this setting on/off by long-pressing the TRIG IN [1] or [2] button in the kit screen.

MIDI

MIDI Ch

Specifies the transmit and receive channels. The default value is “10.”

PrgChg Rx

If this is ON, incoming program change messages (kit number) will switch kits.

PrgChg Tx

If this is ON, a program change message will be transmitted when you switch kits.

INFO

Version

This is system version.

Restoring the Factory Settings

This restores the TM-2 to the original factory settings.

NOTE

All internal settings of the TM-2 will be erased.
If you have settings that you want to keep, back them up to the SD card before you proceed. p. 15

1.

Hold down the [SHIFT] button and press the [INST] button.

2.

Use the [<] [>] buttons to select “FACTORY RESET” and press
the [+] button.

A confirmation screen will appear.

To cancel the operation, press the [INST] button to return.

3.

Press the [+] button.

A confirmation screen will appear once again.

4.

Press the TRIG IN [2] button.

All settings are returned to their factory-set condition.
