3.3.10.9 PPTP

The Point-to-Point Tunneling Protocol (PPTP) is a method for implementing

virtual private networks. PPTP uses a control channel over TCP and a GRE

tunnel operating to encapsulate PPP packets.

In the NETWORK TOOLS page, click PPTP, the page as shown in the following

figure appears.

The following table describes the parameters in this page.

Description

Local IP Start

The started IP address of the local network.

Local IP Num

The valid numbers of local IP addresses. It works

together with the Local IP Start to determine the range

of the local IP addresses.

Remote IP Start

The started IP address of the remote network.

Remote IP Num

The valid numbers of remote IP addresses. It works

together with the Remote IP Start to determine the

range of the remote IP addresses.

Netmask

It is valid for both the local network and the remote
