CABLES USED FOR THE TEST
If the cables are changed or extended be sure and
recalibrate the instrument. During a continuity
test, if the resistance value free of calibration (that
is the resistance value less the calibration offset
value) is negative, the symbols

blinking CAL are displayed (refer to 5

WARNING
Never disconnect the test leads while the word “Measuring” is being
displayed.

Measuring
To cancel the calibration parameters (and
the symbol CAL) it is necessary to perform a
calibration procedure with a resistance
greater than 5
Ω (for example with the test
leads disconnected). When a cancellation is
completed this screen is displayed first,
followed by the screen below:
Message >5
Ω:
means that the
instrument
detected a
resistance greater
than 5
Ω therefore
it will proceed
with Reset
procedure.

The screen alongside is displayed for 2
seconds, after which the instrument emits a
long beep and then displays the default
screen relative to the LOW
Ω test under
AUTO mode without the symbol CAL.

means that the
