CLEANING THE UPPER EXCHANGER
CLEANING THE UPPER EXCHANGER
Perform the following operations with the stove switched off and cold to clean the upper exchanger.
1. Remove the top L/M as indicated in the dedicated paragraph
2. Remove the side panels B and the front one C as indicated in the dedicated paragraphs
3. Remove the upper cap D located underneath the top L/M by taking out the 2 screws on the right-hand side and the 2 screws on the
left-hand side E.
4. Then open door G and remove the upper screw H on bracket I.
5. Remove the fan unit N by loosening the four screws O that block it to the structure.
6. Remove the exchanger L by loosening the four screws M that fasten it.
Scrape the walls of the firebox with a rigid rod or a bottle brush inside the exchanger, for the ash to fall into the lower ash collection
compartment.
Clean all the parts and set them back into place using a new head gasket under the upper exchanger.
