etc. These could damage the surface of the
product.
Dry your taps with a cloth after every use in
order to avoid the build-up of any limescale.
Clean the product with a damp, soft cloth and
a mild cleaning agent if required.
Unscrew and remove the aerator 29 at regular
intervals and remove any residues of scale or
foreign bodies.
If heavily contaminated or damaged, replace
the aerator
29 .
Note: The aerator 29 can normally be un-
screwed by hand. Otherwise use an open-end
spanner SW 22 mm and be sure to place a
thin, damp cloth around the aerator
29 to pre-
vent damaging it. A pipe wrench with plastic
jaws is also suitable.
Non-observance of the above care advice can be
expected to result in damage to the surfaces of the
product. This will inevitably invalidate the guarantee.
Replacing the cartridge
A cartridge 28 is a wear part that needs replacing
according to the hardness and / or degree of con-
tamination of the water. This becomes evident
when the handle
22 becomes difficult to move. A
new cartridges 28 can be obtained from the listed
service office.
Note: this step requires an open-end spanner
SW 27 mm or fitting pliers.
Proceed as follows to replace the cartridge 28 :
Shut off the main water supply. Allow any
remaining water in the pipework to drain.
Remove the hot/cold plaque 24 by adjusting
the handle 22 to the highest position and in-
serting a flat object between the edge of the
hot/cold plaque
24 and the outside of the
handle 22 .
Note: Use light pressure to carefully push the
hot/cold plaque
24 outward so as not to
scratch the surface.
Loosen the locking screw 23 with the socket
head wrench 21 by turning it counter-clockwise.
CAUTION! Do not completely unscrew the
locking screw
23 . Only loosen this as far is as
necessary to remove the handle.
Remove the handle 22 .
Unscrew the cartridge covering ring 25 , do not
use pliers or a spanner. Otherwise the product
could be damaged.
Loosen the cartridge locknut 26 inside using fit-
ting pliers or an open-end spanner SW 27 mm,
and pull the entire cartridge
28 out of the
fitting 1 .
Insert the new cartridge (model 35M) into the
fitting 1 in the same manner.
Note: be sure the seal under the cartridge 28
is correctly seated. Make sure that the guides
are in the corresponding holes.
Reassemble all the above parts. Tighten the
cartridge lock nut 26 using fitting pliers or an
open-end spanner SW 27 mm while simultane-
ously securing the fitting from twisting. This will
achieve tightness and ensure the handle is not
difficult to move.
CAUTION! Be careful not to reverse the hot/
cold water plaque
24 . The correct position is:
left = red (hot water),
right = blue (cold water).
