Operation / Maintenance and Cleaning
Cold water:
Swing the handle
22
to the right.
Check operation of the mixer. To do so, swing
the handle
22
into all permissible positions.
Please regularly check the connections are
tight.
Eco Function /conserving water
The cartridge
28
in this tap has an Eco function.
The feature limits the water flow through the tap.
This means you can save water by up to 50 %
(see fig. C).
Lift the handle
22
until you notice a slight resist-
ance. This resistance will cause a stop in case
of partial opening and will therefore simply
limit the flow of water.
If you want to increase the flow rate, exert
slight pressure on the handle
22
until you
overcome the resistance.
Setting the scald protection
The cartridge
28
in this tap has a scald protection
function. This function is not activated before
leaving the factors (neutral setting) (see fig. D/I).
Note: Do not alter the setting of the scald
protection until you have installed the tap.
Please note: This step requires an Allen key
(2.5 mm)
21
and an open-ended spanner
SW 30 mm of fitting pliers.
Follow these steps:
Shut off the main water supply. Allow any
remaining water in the pipework to drain.
Remove the hot/cold plaque
24
by adjusting
the handle
22
to the highest position and in-
serting a flat object between the edge of the
hot/cold plaque
24
and the outside of the
handle
22
.
Please Note: Use light pressure to carefully
push the hot/cold plauqe
24
outwards so as
not to scratch the surface.
Loosen the locking screw
23
with the socket
head wrench
21
by turning it counter-clock-
wise.
CAUTION! Do not unscrew the screw com-
pletely. Only loosen this as far as is necessary
to remove the handle
22
.
Remove the handle
22
.
Unscrew the cartridge covering ring
25
, do not
use pliers or a spanner. Otherwise the product
could be damaged.
Loosen the cartridge locknut
26
; this requires
an open-end spanner SW 30 mm or fitting
pliers.
Now pull the red hot-water limiting ring
27
upwards using a screwdriver.
Note: Press the cartridge pins slightly back-
wards. This will make it easier to pull up on the
hot water limiting ring
27
.
Reducing the hot water flow rate:
Reinsert the hot water limiting ring
27
, as show
in Fig D/II.
Reducing the hot water flow rate completely:
Attach the hot water stop ring
27
as shown in
Fig D/III.
Deactivating the hot water flow limitation:
Attach the hot water limiting ring
27
as shown
in Fig D/I (neutral setting).
After adjusting the scald protection, attach the
cartridge locknut
26
, the cartridge covering
ring
25
and the lever
22
analogue to the
disassembly.
