EARC Displayed during PLC gateway initialization if the MicroTrac
card is not found. Initialization is not completed.
Troubleshoot: Check that the interface card has been
installed properly. The card could be defective;
replace it with another.
ECOM Appears during operation if the interface card is not
communicating with the Modicon PLC.
Troubleshoot: Check the cabling between the interface
card and the Remote I/O Processor. Is the
Modicon PLC in the RUN mode?
ECdd This indicates that the PLC gateway is unable to get a
configuration from the Modicon PLC for drop "dd".
When the PLC gateway receives an allocation message from
the MicroTrac LAN, it decodes the channel number into a
drop and slot number. It then attempts to get a configuration
for that drop from the Modicon PLC. If it cannot, this error
message is displayed and the PLC gateway hangs.
Troubleshoot: Check the cabling between the interface
card and the Remote I/O Processor.
• Is the Modicon PLC on? Has it been programmed?
Check the configuration on Traffic Cop.
• Does the configuration include the drop(s) being
allocated? Is the drop being scanned? Check the
segment scheduler.
• Is the Remote I/O Processor COM ERROR light
on? It should be on until the interface card has
received a configuration for each simulated drop.
• Is the drop you are trying to configure remote?
For some PLCs, drop 1 is local and cannot be
programmed. Also remember to use only drops
2-24, rack 2, slots 1-9.
