MACHINE OPERATION
1. Read the Operator's Manual for the Clamshell model in use.
2. Start the cutting operation.
3. If the Tool Bit backs off, use the 7/16" hex wrench to increase the spring
pressure of the shaft adjustment screws.
4. After you complete the cut, turn the sprocket with the spanner wrench to
move the Tool Holder to the starting position.

REMOVAL OF THE CLAMSHELL FROM THE PIPE
1. Retract the Tool Bits.
2. Reinstall the spring compression cap screws.
3. Tighten the spring compression cap screws until the tracking wheel lifts away
from the pipe.
4. Follow the instructions in the Operator's manual for the Clamshell model in
use to remove the Clamshell from the pipe.

CHANGING THE ROLLER BRACKET ASSEMBLY
1. Remove the two spring compression cap screws
CAUTION: The compression springs have stored energy. Ensure that
the compression springs do not jump off, when you take the Tool
Holder assembly out of the tool module.
2. Slide the Tool Holder bracket down until you can access the four cap screws.
3. Remove the four cap screws.
4. Remove the roller bracket from the back of the tool module.
5. Use the four cap screws to attach the replacement roller bracket to the back
of the tool module.
6. Slide the Tool Holder assembly into the tool module.
7. Place the compression springs in position on the Tool Holder bracket.
8. Slide the spring compression cap screws into the top of the Tool Holder
assembly.
9. Tighten the screws until the compression springs are compressed as much as
possible.
